Actually, I think PG _contains_ a full encyclopedia...

I seem to recall something about an early (copyright-expired) version of
Britannica was in PG (although it had to go by a different name due to
trademark restriction.)  Is this so?  If so, maybe that portion of it
would be useful, although I have to imagine large chunks of it would be
pretty darn out of date.  ;-) But I suppose the more "bread and butter"
topics (science, biographies, history, etc.) probably have much that is
still relevant.  If those also happened to cover some of the "unsexy"
topics, that'd sure be a help.
