These are the goals of NUpedia.

I agree. But there *is* considerable value in each (especially when
one considers that most Web content isn't freely-available) and
NUpedia seems to be heading down the road to quite a valuable free
encyclopedia.

With the opportunity for many different groups to ``moderate'' the
content (i.e. make their own classifications and rating of GNUpedia
information), hopefully users will have many different qualities and
viewpoints to choose from.
