I don't think it's that bad, many many words exist that could be 
used.

Personally I think Alexandria is the best suggestion so far, as an 
another idea for a name how about Foundation (After Asimov's 
series of the same name which contained an encyclopedia of all 
knowledge which was made by a hundred thousand workers).

Also how about a name from Greek/Roman mythology I think we'd 
be on fairly same ground there.
