If the author of an article wishes to link to general information
about whales, he should probably insert another type of "link"
than he would use if he wishes to link to a specific article.

Possibly just like this:
...the movements of <keyword>whales</keyword> in the ocean...
This way the server can present a list of articles pertaining to
this specific keyword.
