It could work. So you would pool the techies from both
projects into Gnupedia, and the article/policy people
into nupedia. But I still think it would be best to
keep the projects seperate, and perhaps let nupedia
follow a more editorial role, and the gnupedia a more
open role, and see which one works best. Nupedia may
become too centralised, of Gnupedia may become a mess
of articles thats impossible to use. Either way, we'd
find the best solution by testing them both out, and
sharing material!
