[Bug-gnupedia] Copyright issues...

Though I'm a programmer, my interest in this project lies mainly in
contributing articles.

What concerns me are possible legal problems that could arise. Not all
contributors are going to write their articles completely off the tops of
their heads. We don't want to have issues of plagarism on our hands. Now,
there's nothing wrong with that since nobody has first-hand experience with
such things as the Revolutionary War. It is just important to make sure
that a contributor includes bibliographical information his his or her
submission.

I suggest that it be required to submit a list of all refrenced works with
the submission of an article.

At the very least, they should include publisher's information, author,
title, volume number, editor (etc...).

It may also be a good idea to come up with a convention of citing quotes
from these sources, if direct quotes from different works are used in the
article. The MLA method (www.mla.org) has worked for me through all my
years of schooling and may be appropriate for this case.
