send-pr would be enhanced significantly if it could pick up default values for specific fields from a file, such as ~/.send-pr. I'd like to specify my preferred email address on From: and Reply-To: lines, and perhaps Organization:, so I don't have to fix them on each PR I file (normally against FreeBSD, which uses GNATS & send-pr 3.113).Additionally, it would be helpful if I could set defaults for other fields, like Category (usually docs for me), Class (normally doc-bug <[ sw-bug | doc-bug | change-request | update | maintainer-update ] (one line)> for me), and Severity (normally non-critical for my bug reports).Alternatively, it would be helpful if I could specify a full template file, although in this case I'd have to be sure not to lose sync if the bundled template was changed.
Actually, all of this is implemented in GNATS 4.0, where most aspects of GNATS can be fully customized through the dbconfig file.
