Changing priorities

I just installed Gnats-3.113.1 and I'd like to change the priorities
from low, medium, high to five other values.  It looks like these
priorities are wired into things like send-pr.  I was hoping the
priorities were handled like the categories but it doesn't seem so.

Is there a way to change the number of priorities and their associated
values?

I apologize if this is not the list to send such questions.  I didn't
see a general gnats mailing list.
