Multi-Format Device Driver

Hello:

I'm a prospective Ghostscript user [my first-time to post] with a
question I don't see asked elsewhere ...

I'm considering the possibility of writing a high-level device driver
capable of generating graphic object representations for a one-off
rendering system.

Since Ghostscript apparently supports Postscript, PDF, and PCL, am I
correct in thinking that these three input formats could be ingested
while continuing to use this [single] driver?
