Hi Maria,

      I would like to know if the PDF file generated by GNU Ghostscript
      can be edited in Adobe Designer because from my experience it
      cannot be edited because of some fonts not found.

I have no knowledge of Designer, but as far as fonts go, you can tell
Ghostscript to embed all fonts by including the option
-dPDFSETTINGS=/printer when you create the PDF.
-dCompatibilityLevel=1.3 may also be useful.

You can use the pdffonts program that is part of xpdf
(http://www.foolabs.com/xpdf/) to check if all the fonts in a given pdf
are embedded.
