The IRC channel tells me:
The current stable release is GPL Ghostscript 8.54
Also have a look at:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1897

They clearly have 8.54 as GPL

Btw, I guess all of the above bugs are fixed in 8.54, so you may just
upgrade to that and release, I can then reuse my -afpl 8.54 ebuild :)

Also I wonder, why still bother to do a separate -gnu release, if -gpl
is almost as good as -afpl now? I really wonder - last I heard they
take 1 year of time before releasing it as GPL.
