Details:

I am using the findutils are 4.6.0 from the current macos brew system.

I read the man page, but it is not clear where the conf file for `gupdatedb`
sits. usually, it would be in `/usr/local/etc/`, presumably something like
`updatedb.conf` or `gupdatedb.conf`. I created deliberately invalid conf
files, but they do not trigger an error. can you please document in the man
page where the default configuration file sits?

ideally, `glocate -S -v` would describe more information, such as what the
arguments to `gupdatedb` were, too (and/or what the starting `updatedb.conf`
used was).

the reason why all this would be helpful is that `gupdatedb` does not seem to
index the `/Users` directories. this makes it pretty useless for many use
cases.
