You are probably asking on the wrong list, as findutils does not provide
any such function. Are you asking about something that can safely
transmit a binary file over an ascii email connection? If so, sharutils
includes uuencode for this purpose. Or are you asking for a simple hex
dump? od, which is part of coreutils, can be used for this.

Trailers like this are unenforceable on publicly-archived mailing lists.
Please consider using a personal email account for use when posting to a
public list (open a free one from a web site if needed) if your company
