locate and regexp search

One feature I really, really, really miss in GNU locate (that is in the
slocate package) is the ability to search the updatedb database for a
regular expression, not a string.

My recollection from decades past is that djm was reluctant to implement
this because of performance concerns, but I can't see that that is an
issue these days.

Here's hoping ... :).
