Hello,
I'm using ls from the Debian Sarge Distribution. There is a bug in the
german translation of the man page. Since the translator is not mentioned, I
write to you.
-B, --ignore-backups
do not list implied entries ending with ~
The word 'implied' obviously means that a command like
ls --ignore-backups
doesn't show files like ".mailcap~" with a tilde at the end,
whereas
ls --ignore-backups *
does, because there is a file pattern given.
The german text
-B, --ignore-backups
Einträge, die mit ~ enden, nicht ausgeben.
does not respect the word 'implied'. A possible translation was
-B, --ignore-backups
Implizite Einträge, die mit ~ enden, nicht ausgeben.
Thanks for making the fileutils, BTW.
Regards,
Christian
