This is an very old version of GNU Fileutils, could you try the latest
version from ftp.gnu.org/gnu/fileutils and see if the problem still
persists there? If it does, then try the beta version at
alpha.gnu.org/gnu/fileutils. And report back a detail report of what
you did, what you expected and what system you are running.
