Hi,
I think I am encountering a bug with the -f option in cp 4.0x:
# touch foobar foobar2
# cp -f foobar foobar2
cp: overwrite 'foobar2'? y
# cp --version
cp (GNU fileutils) 4.0x
Written by Torbjorn Granlund, David MacKenzie, and Jim Meyering.
...
I don't think I should be prompted for overwrites with the -f option. I've
also tried using --force and get the same result.
The cp command is being run from RedHat Linux 7 and is included in
fileutils-4.0x-3.
If this is an issue with the RedHat port of your software, please let me
know and I will contact them directly.
Thank you.
