[Bug-ddrescue] Handling drives that have broken partition table? |

I often get drives that will show up as a device (ie, /dev/sdc)
including the model number of the drive, but because linux tries to
load the partition table of the drive when it detects it, it results in
a mess and subsequently you cannot access it via ddrescue.
Does anyone know of a way to tell linux not to load the partition
table, or treat the drive as a raw binary device ( on the SATA bus in
this case, I have an internal relay switch and dock assembly to let me
power cycle the drives in software ) ?
Regards,
Paul.
