Hi John,I don't have a Mac, but the straightforward thing I would try is to install Lazarus 1.4 for Mac OSX from http://www.lazarus-ide.org/ , open the ddrescueview project and hit 'Run'->'Compile'.
There is also a Fink port for version 0.3. http://www.finkports.info/ports/utils/ddrescueview.htmlSee if you can alter the porting information there to build the 0.4a version of ddrescueview.
I'd be interested in any problems you run into, especially if they seem to be caused by changes from the 0.4a version.
On a side note, I'm currently in the process of writing some documentation for ddrescueview. I'd love to include some more hints on compilation (for mac too, if you/someone can provide them). On windows and linux it just works with a single click out of the Lazarus IDE, which is why the chapter on compilation is still very short. Also, there will be a new version for testing in a few days.

I am wondering if there is a way to compile this for Mac OS X. Would love to use it.On Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 2:12 PM, Martin Bittermann <address@hidden <mailto:address@hidden>> wrote:Hi, there is now a new version '0.4 alpha' of ddrescueview available for testing at http://sourceforge.net/projects/ddrescueview/files/Test%20builds/v0.4%20alpha/ . ddrescueview is a graphical viewer application for ddrescue's logfiles, available for GNU/Linux and Windows. The update includes an experimental implementation of the 'zooming feature' suggested by Paul L. Daniels. Note: This version has received very little testing and is far from complete. To help me get to '0.4 release', I ask you to send all sorts of feedback to address@hidden <mailto:address@hidden> . While I don't wish to derail ddrescue's mailing list for ddrescueview development I'll also promise to watch this mailing list more closely for a while should you wish to discuss ddrescueview here :-) Best regards, Martin _______________________________________________ Bug-ddrescue mailing list address@hidden <mailto:address@hidden> https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-ddrescue
