I would like to request the addition of "rescued" to the rates file. I don't care what column you put it in. The reason I ask this is that I think it could be helpful information when doing ddrescue speed tests. One could then look at the rates file and see how much good data was recovered and how fast. It would be data I would send you if you wished, from benchmarking tests.
Are you sure the "rescued" column is needed at all? I mean, it would be the widest column, increasing line size by 25%, and the rescued size can be calculated multiplying the "average rate" by the "time".
Alternatively the "rescued" column could replace the "average rate" column. In this case the average rate could be calculated dividing the rescued size by the time. This is more precise, but also makes a longer line.
As always, feedback is welcome. I would prefer to be sure that this is useful before adding such amount of redundancy to the rates file.
Best rergards, Antonio.
