[Bug-ddrescue] Revisiting the idea of a summary-before-commencing safeing of ddrescue? |

A while ago the idea of trying to make the use of ddrescue "safer" was
bought up and one idea was to present a summary-screen of what was
about to be done along with any available data about the devices being
used. ie;
ddrescue is about to copy 750GB from /dev/sda to /dev/sdb [2000GB].
Proceed (y/N)?
Obviously this would be an optional item, but I know when the pressure
is on and you've had a long hard day of data recovery it can be nice to
have that added level of confirmation before proceeding with a
disk->disk transfer. So much so that I frequently will endure the
longer recovery process of going disk -> image, image -> new disk, just
so I don't make a [data] fatal mistake.
Paul.
