Subject: | I would really like to see a file browser when loading source with gdb |

Hello all, This is less a bug and more a feature request. The problem I'm having is that when debugging a large program on Linux with gdb, I'm usually but not consistently unable to view the symbols, and therefore unable to set breakpoints. Sometimes if I load the shared libraries, it will start to show them and sometimes not. Sometimes they appear when I exit and reenter the load source dialog, they reappear. Fundamentally DDD is useless as it is.
On solaris, using dbx, there's an option to browse to the source file I wish to debug. I'd really like that option to be available with gdb, as my Linux machine is so much faster than my older sun blade.
BTW, this occurs with all combinations and versions of gdb and ddd I've tried, including gdb 6.3,6.4, ddd 3.3.9-11.
TIA, Dave
