as 1) they make CVSNT, and 2) I can't remember the normal CVS baseline having 
the cross project problems in the past.

IIRC (and only barely) the normal CVS may have used much CPU, but only when 
things happened like the system running out of swap|space in tmp|space in the 
file system.
