Not sure what you mean. It said that I should make a GNU
expr available if I didn't want the spurious passing (not
failing) of tests.
Anyway, I tried sticking /usr/xpg4/bin at the front of my PATH
today, and got rid of the ID and EXPR variables, but it didn't
make any difference. I still got a spurious fail when I was
promised spurious passing. :-)
I assumed that this would not be of further interest, as after all
I had been warned about my expr, even if too oblique for me
to realise I had a problem. If it is still of interest to get
sanity.sh to work on my Sun Solaris machine without using
GNU expr, I can try to get those other debug files. Is it of
interest?
