Then it may be the right way to go. It seems that the only change to SCCS that 
was not introduced by either AT&T or Sun is the 'x' as implemented by SCO.

I e.g. just discovered that HP-UX also implements the parameter to the 'i' flag.
This is most likely a result of the collaboration for CDE, so it seems that 
around 1990, several UNIX vendors adopted code from AT&T/Sun for their SCCS.
