Not a bug. And not unique to md5sum either; POSIX requires that most apps
behave this way (only a few exceptions for legacy programs like echo).
Try either of these, to see the difference. Basically, you need to tell
your program that '-=Bob Marley=-.md5' is not an option, but an argument,
either by avoiding a leading-, or by using the explicit end-of-options option.
md5sum --check -- '-=Bob Marley=-.md5'
md5sum --check './-=Bob Marley=-.md5'
