I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Perhaps a good tutorial on Unix
command line tools may be what you need. It sounds like you are looking
for something basic like 'cp -R /mount/point/of/ramdisk
/directory/on/hda1', with the appropriate path names to look in the two
locations.
