FYI,
The --reply=X option is now deprecated in both mv and cp.
That means the option will continue to work for a couple of
years, but if you use it, you'll get a diagnostic like this:
mv: the --reply option is deprecated; use -i or -f instead
I've removed the description from --help, and marked the
description as `Deprecated: to be removed in 2008.' in coreutils.texi.
There's been a lot of discussion about this,
prompted by numerous complaints that --reply=no is confusing
(several recently, and several more over the last few years).
