Hi there.
This is not a bug, but has to do with the documentation of "date" .
I have yet again found myself stuck for a while, trying to remember how
to format the string when changing my system time.
Using "man date" one quickly finds:
------------------------------------------
"-s, --set=STRING
set time described by STRING"
------------------------------------------
but how that STRING should be formatted is a bit harder to find out.
I think it would (over time) help a lot of people save one or a few
minutes of searching/thinking if you added a short description of how
that string should be formatted, e.g. right after mentioned STRING.
Perhaps just something like:
"... described by STRING. E.g: YYMMDD or HHMM".
Thanks for all the cool and effecient core-utils!
/Alfred
