-10 does not give any warning!

hi you superkind and helpful coreutils-developers.
with some disappointment i have read that because of posix compliance
nice can no longer support -number.
it's good to stay compatible so your decision is probably right to bow
to this standard.
what is bad: i don't get any response when i use the old style, no
warning at all. i think, that really has to change. otherwise it is
going to confuse people in the future and like me they are going to
believe "no news is good news" while it doesn't do anything.

it can very well be that because i still use a debian unstable package
which does perhaps not have all the latest nice that that problem is gone
already.
