I'm seeing the same occasionally:

cfengine:maturin: Received signal 13 (SIGPIPE) while doing [no_active_lock]
cfengine:maturin: Logical start time Wed Apr 27 00:04:57 2005
cfengine:maturin: This sub-task started really at Wed Apr 27 00:04:57 2005

Any clues?  Any debug flags I need to use to get useful information?
