RE: cfservd core dumping on OSF1 V4.0

On OSF this file is /etc/svc.conf. All services are set to 'local', except
hosts, which is set to 'local, bind'. resolv.conf is sane and DNS lookups
(both A and PTR records) are working for the connecting host. /etc/hosts is
sane. I noticed that the connecting host is also listed in /etc/hosts
(correct IP, matching DNS) as an unqualified host.

Everything seems okay, though I'm going to test some permutations on that
/etc/hosts entry. The trouble is my central box is down today. As soon as
the guys working on it get it rebuilt, I'll see about testing that.

Is there anything else I might need to check? Any other diagnostics I can
provide? I don't really expect my testing to generate anything different,
but I want to cover all bases.

Steve
