Trouble compiling cfengine 2.0.a14

After typing ./configure (without problems), typing make ended with:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I/usr/include/db2  -I/usr/local/ssl/include 
-I/usr/local/include  -g -O2   -c `test -f misc.c || echo './'`misc.c
misc.c: In function `ChecksumChanged':
misc.c:187: structure has no member named `open'

This is on a SuSE 7.2 system (uname -a = Linux admin 2.4.4-64GB-SMP #1 SMP Fri 
May 18 14:54:08 GMT 2001 i686 unknown)
