required behaviour

Hello,

 I'm using cfengine 1.6.X and also tested it with cfengine-2.0a14.
 I'm checking the freespace on my fileserver (Linux). The root 
 filesystem is ext2 and the home dirs are on a raid system with xfs (Sgi
 filesystem). I always get this error:
  /home/yellow is on a different file system, not descending.

 It is al local filesystem. If i change the line in /home/yellow/bas
 it works. My question is why the check?
