Sorry if this question is a bit off-topic in the list, but how are
these lists maintained? Or, are they maintained at all?

Because of a problem with spam filtering (see below), I wrote to
<address@hidden> twice (25 Feb, 8 Mar) and till today
(2 months later) I didn't even get a reply. Also the serious (IMHO)
problem with phishings in the archives I mentioned below still
exists.

I've now let the MLM kick me out, and subscribed again from another
address with a differently set up spam filter, though only to this
list (no more to help-bison and bison-patches), and I might
unsubscribe again. BTW, if there will be any questions or issues
about my (few) contributions, feel free to contact me by PM as I
might not read it on the lists.

: According to my mail server log (time in CET):
:
: 2005-02-21 17:16:17 1D3GEL-0006sr-7g H=(lists.gnu.org) [199.232.76.165]
F=<address@hidden> rejected after DATA: This message contains malware
(HTML.Phishing.Auction-28)
: 2005-02-22 17:12:12 1D3cdv-0007ft-HU H=(lists.gnu.org) [199.232.76.165]
F=<address@hidden> rejected after DATA: This message contains malware
(HTML.Phishing.Auction-28)
: 2005-02-22 17:17:30 1D3cj3-0007nj-VZ H=(lists.gnu.org) [199.232.76.165]
F=<address@hidden> rejected after DATA: This message contains malware
(HTML.Phishing.Auction-28)
:
: According to your archive the messages are indeed phishings
: (<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bison-patches/2005-02/msg00009.html>
: etc.).
:
: So apparently our mail server rejects some malware that got through
: yours. If that's a problem, I'll indeed have to unsubscribe from
: this and other lists, as I don't plan to disable my spam filter.
:
: BTW, the archive even seems to display the messages in the phisher's
: way, i.e. show an ebay URL and link to somewhere else. Some readers
: might not like this ...
