Bison 1.875 bug

From: David Durham
Subject: Bison 1.875 bug
Date: Wed, 29 Jan 2003 09:48:32 -0600
User-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826

I making use of defining YYLTYPE in my application which may cause this to show up which maybe normally doesn't. Right after the definition of 'yyerrlab1:' in the resulting .c file there is an attempt to suppress a warning about unused lables with particular versions of gcc. Well, at least in my generated code the '__attribute__ ((__unused__))' which I think is supposed to go before the label and not after it (although I moved it before the label definition and it still didn't compile right) is causing the next line to look like a variable declaration.

I've attached by .c (actually .cc) file to the message, and you can see the problem on line 1709. Line 1709 looks to the compiler like yylerrsp is being declared (with no type given) because of the previous __attribute__() token.

I'm using gcc 3.2

Thanks,
 Davy

P.S. Please reply to me specifically as well since I'm not subscribed to the list.
