bash crashes when splitcurl script try download non existent file

Example which is triggers crash:
> ./splitcurl "ftp://test.rebex.net/no-file"; 10
fish: Job 1, './splitcurl "ftp://test.rebex.n…' terminated by signal
SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)
