I mistyped that but it brings me to an interesting
conundrum:
GLOBAL="hi there"
{foo=GLOBAL echo ${!foo}; }
> (foo=GLOBAL echo ${!foo} )
But:
> { foo=GLOBAL;echo ${!foo}; }
hi there
> (foo=GLOBAL; echo ${!foo})
hi there
----
