Hello,
my name is Florian Hauser and I am Sysadmin in Germany.
I recognized a bug a few days ago, while creating some tgz-Packages by using the
"tgz" command in bash -> (SuSE Linux 8.2 Pro).
It isn't really a bash problem itself but also important for you, I think.
If I am creating a tgz by for example:
tgz --help
The whole system will be backuped in a tgz-File, called --help.tgz.
The problem now is, that in the bash, sh oder any other shell, the file cannot
be removed, renamed or anything else, because of the expression --help.
When I try the remark-command like "rm --help.tgz", the bash is showing the
helpinformation about the RM-command. The same mit "mv" a.s.o.
The file can only deleted by a X-Session in KDE or any WM.
In my eyes this seems very uncontrolable!
Please write back. (This is my first bugreport, be generous :-)
Greetings from Germany,
Florian Hauser
