This lead me to

IIUC for these messages to appear there has to be something requiring
cl-macs in the auto-autoloads file of AUCTeX.  Unfortunately I cannot
reproduce or check this because neither do I get those messages on
stdout or stderr nor do I have a cl-macs.el in my XEmacs distribution.
