the funny thing about it: it happens on every single bsd machine i got running
here. there is no special line in sheets.map causing the trouble, it's the
frist non-comment line a2ps complains about.
some lines out of sheets.map:

*.bk[0-9] binary
[... a lot more lines like these ...]

i bet it is so obvious that i keep missing it ...
