Ooh, sorry, that's indeed an interesting, and clearly intentional
misspelling. Sorry about that.
Thanks for taking the time to integrate the rest.
That there's a specific commit calling out the intentional spelling choice
might help others in the future. I'll often (although but always) check
blame to see why a word was introduced (yesterday, it was "fatally failed"
in Jenkins, but the answer was "beginning of time" – which meant it hadn't
been reviewed by a native speaker/linguist/editor).
