[PATCH] Version 2.4.1a.

I pushed this to branch-2.4.2.  My plan is to convert the 2.4.1a NEWS 
entry back to 2.4.2, to switch back to gnits, and then release 2.4.2 once 
the translators have had a week.

* NEWS (2.4.2): Rename to...
(2.4.1a): ... this for now.  Set date.
* configure.ac (AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE): Disable gnits for now because
it does not like this version name.
