hello,
Interested in development and history of bison have searched the internet
for old versions of bison not in the archive at http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/bison/
and collected few found early versions currently on googlecode at
http://code.google.com/p/oldbison/

some versions are original and others are modified and available are:
bison-1.00, bison-1.01, bison-1.03, bison-1.10, bison-1.11, bison-1.14,
bison-1.16, bison-1.19, bison-1.21, bison-1.22 and bison-1.24

to checkout these versions use:
svn checkout http://oldbison.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ oldbison-read-only

the file version.c is created at Thu Apr 27 17:00:47 1989 with version
number 1.01 which is the first bison version with a version number.

there are old documents about GNU and bison still available but the
source files and mailings seem to have disappeared from servers.

now looking for some other old bison parser generator versions like
bison-1.04, bison-1.05, bison-1.06, bison-1.07, bison-1.08, bison-1.09,
bison-1.12, bison-1.17, bison-1.20, bison-1.23

please email me if you find source of one of these bison versions then
it can be added to this archive.

also created a recompilation of bison-1.00 which can be compiled on current
linux computers and generates a functional parser for fun.

Thanks,
Tys Lefering
