You want to target more languages. Why not, but using different '@'
or '$' characters is only the first step. You also might need to change the
way
those constructs are expanded during the parser production, don't you?

And, most of all, are you sure we need this to finish 1.29? I don't know,
but,
this patch should maybe go to the experimental branch.
