I've never test it on yaVDR, but if it similar to xbmc it should work.
Try set full path to bino.
Enter to prompt when you run movie, and check whever bino is running "ps 
ax|grep bino".
What windowmaker is running your system? If any, I've noticed unstable 
work with xbmc.
