Probably I didn't use the correct term when using "live". The behaviour you describe is the currently implemented one.
The exported Bibles normally are updated every night. The Bibles in the Resources update after refresh, or after changing to another passage and back. That's what I meant by "live", as opposed to have to wait till the next day. But admittedly, the _expression_ was not the correct one ... 
Is the current behaviour okay for you?
Note: The Bible texts in the Consistency page update themselves really "live" in the proper sense of the word.
