Details:

The following suggestions have been made:

A window should have a mininum width and height, which corrects if these are
too small.

A window cannot be moved to negative positions.

If the user moves window beyond the layout's size, it won't work, but if the
widget goes there on its own, it works out, and then the layout gets
expanded.

If the main window changes its size, the layout does too, but within the
confines of its children.

In the new unified window, I hope that you have something like TW (Ctrl-Tab)
that will cycle through the sub-windows
like Alt-Tab does now for separate windows.
If it is like TW, the new approach will have the advantage of the real window
appearing when cycling using the hot key,
rather than an unreadable thumbnail.
This can be accomplished by storing the center position of each window, then
when the accelerator is pressed,
it looks for the next center position that logically follows the current one.
If there's none, it restarts.

To make the repeated pressing of F5, Ctrl-F5 and Shift-F5 work again. It
should cycle through the relevant windows. For example, when F5 is pressed,
each time it goes to the next Editor, then restarts the cycle.
