Follow-up Comment #2, bug #27890 (project bibledit):
I can confirm this bug, also on Ubuntu 9.10. It occurs when there are
footnotes or xrefs in the chapter. A possible workaround is to work in USFM
view, and only in formatted view for those chapters that do not have notes.
Hope that Ubuntu manages to fix the problem they caused!
