Follow-up Comment #1, bug #27529 (project bibledit):
Could you please email me all the files that are in directory
~/.bibledit/databases ?
After that could you clean out this directory, then start Bibledit again? It
should then recreate this database, perhaps that fixes it.
What makes me think the above is your log file that says:
** (bibledit:6004): CRITICAL **: database disk image is malformed
